I&#8217;ve primed and painted the bike to some degree of professionalism i must add. Today i had planned to do some small paint details and then the clear coat. However shortly into detailing, i dropped the frame which left two fairly deep and big chips on the downtube :( Also, the paint i used for the details turned out to be rubbish and now has left a horrible powdery paint job. Fortunately those bits are quite small. So i&#8217;ve had to delay the clear coating in order to touch up the chips. Then to make things worse after doing the touch up i put the frame down, wet paint first, onto a cloth. GRRRRR. Now it&#8217;s covered it cloth fibres. I&#8217;m gonna have to sand down the whole headtube now and repaint it. I’ve sanded it down to metal and primed it. This is the finished product after a couple of hours and a cans worth of primer. It’s very smooth, i’ve fine sanded the primer down to make a great base for the paint.
